The Tow-Pro Link offers two modes: Everyday/Proportional (blue LED) for highway and general use, and Manual Off-Road (green LED) for precise control in challenging terrain.
It pairs with the Tow-Pro App for setup, calibration, and control, with calibration completed after 20–50 braking events. Features include park brake assist, support for up to 4 axles/8 brakes, auto shut-off, and advanced derating.
The system uses a 25A fuse, is not recommended for Ford PX3 Ranger or Everest with AEB, and must be installed in the vehicle near the tow bar, not on a trailer. The app can be used legally only under local driving rules.

- Tow-Pro Link Electric Brake Controller (EBRHX-ADH-NA)
What are the Tow-Pro Link's two main modes and when do I use them?
When Everyday/Proportional mode is enabled, the LED is blue.
Everyday/Proportional mode is ideal for highway travel and general use on all road surfaces, including dirt and gravel. Once the braking force is set at the beginning of each trip, this mode requires minimal input from the user whilst travelling.
When Manual Off‑road (User Controlled) mode is enabled, the LED is green.
Manual Off‑Road (User Controlled) mode is best for experienced drivers that need precision control on surfaces like mud and sand, and in rocky terrain. It may require frequent adjustment throughout the trip as ground surfaces change.
How to change modes on a Tow-Pro Link?
How to change the mode using the USB remote
- Attach the trailer.
- Ensure your vehicle is stationary.
- Press‑and‑hold the brake pedal, then;
- Press‑and‑hold the minus and plus Buttons at the same time for approximately 5 seconds until the LEDs change to the new mode colour.
- Release the brake pedal.
How to pair the Tow-Pro Link to the Tow-Pro App?
- Attach the trailer.
- Turn on accessories/ignition (i.e. make sure the Main Unit has power).
- Ensure the vehicle is stationary.
- Press-and-hold the vehicle brakes.
- In the Tow‑Pro App, select your Tow‑Pro from the 'Unknown Devices' list.
- The App will attempt to connect. Accept the pairing request pop-up.
- Once the 'Reading Configuration' screen appears, release the vehicle brakes.
- When pairing is successful, the Tow‑Pro control screen will be displayed.
What is the Tow-Pro Link park brake feature?
If the vehicle brakes are applied for longer than 3 seconds while vehicle is stationary, the Tow‑Pro Link applies the trailer brakes in an intelligent manner to reduce the vehicle’s required braking effort and decreases the risk of rolling forward or backward whilst stopped. If the Tow‑Pro Link determines that the trailer brakes are not required to keep the vehicle stationary, it will release the trailer brakes.
Does the Tow-Pro Link work with trailers with ESC and ABS devices already fitted?
Yes, the Tow-Pro Link behaves like a Tow-Pro Elite.
Why do I only need a 25A fuse?
Previously on The Tow-Pro Elite we have suggested either a 25A fuse or 30A circuit breaker, further testing revealed that a circuit breaker does not add a benefit to the system and now our preference is to recommend 25A fuses.
Previously circuit breakers were considered as necessary to deal with intermittent short circuits on the output, the Tow-Pro family has algorithms to protect the fuse against these potential short circuits. This means a circuit breaker is only protecting the wiring to the Tow-Pro.
The difference in Amps between a 25A fuse and a 30A circuit breaker was to account for degradation of the circuit breaker over time.
Does the Tow-Pro Link have auto shut off like the Tow-Pro Elite?
Yes, the Tow-Pro Link is similar to the Tow-Pro Elite however it is a bit more sophisticated in its behaviour when derating.
How many axels/brakes on a trailer can the Tow-Pro Link control?
The Tow-Pro Link can do 4 axels/8 Brakes.
How do I calibrate the Tow-Pro Link?
The Tow-Pro Link requires 20-50 braking events to calibrate. It is not required to come to complete stop. General driving in city like traffic will complete this process quickly. Whereas driving in the country or highway may take much longer as you brake less.
Please note, Trailer brakes will always function correctly when in the calibration process. A trailer must be connected for calibration to complete.
Can I use the Tow-Pro Link on multiple devices?
Like any aftermarket accessory you can move it to another vehicle if required. As the Tow-Pro Link requires to learn its new position on the new vehicle you are required to factory reset the Tow-Pro Link after installation. This can be done via the Tow-Pro App.
Can I force the Tow-Pro Link to recalibrate?
Completing a factory reset via the Tow-Pro App will ensure the Tow-Pro Link enters recalibration on power start up.
The only reason you would require recalibration is when the Tow-Pro link main unit location has been changed.
The Tow-Pro Link is not suitable for Ford Vehicles featuring AEB, including Ford PX3 Ranger and Everest (MY18 onwards), can I still use the existing diode to fix this?
No, for Ford PX3 Ranger and Everest (MY18 onwards) vehicles, we recommend using the Ford Ranger Tow-Pro Elite Kit.
Can I install the Tow-Pro Link on my trailer/caravan?
We don’t recommend installing the Tow-Pro Link main unit on the trailer. The Tow-Pro Link has been designed for installation near your vehicle’s tow bar, not on a trailer or caravan. For optimal performance and safety, we recommend connecting the Tow-Pro Link to your vehicle’s start battery rather than a secondary or ‘house’ battery in a trailer or caravan. This ensures the system functions as intended and maintains proper power supply and communication with the main unit. For more information on mounting locations and installation tips, view the Tow-Pro Link Install Guide.
What are the rules around using the app while driving?
The rules vary between states, majority require the phone to be in a cradle, some allow the use of driver aids. Please check with your local rules and regulations. The phone application is supplementary to the Remote Head and Main Unit.
How is the Tow-Pro Link IP rated?
To ensure that the Tow-Pro Link main unit maintains the IP rating (IP57), REDARC ultrasonically weld the two halves of the module enclosure around the PCB.
