Tow-Pro Link USB Remote Frequently Asked Questions

The system runs on Bluetooth® 5.1.

The Tow-Pro Link uses Nano Tape for its ADH Remote, which can be restored by cleaning with warm water or replaced with the spare tape provided. Fault codes appear on the USB remote’s LED lightbar.

If the USB or Bluetooth® disconnects, the main unit keeps operating at the last braking level set. A pulsing blue light indicates no trailer detected, no power, or a settings mismatch.

What do I do if the adhesive no longer sticks?

The ‘adhesive’ on the ADH Remote, known as 'Nano Tape,' works like a suction cup but with much smaller and densely packed suction cups. To restore its ‘stickiness’, clean the tape with warm water and let it dry. Please note that silicone dash cleaners, like Armor All™, significantly reduce the tape's ability to adhere.

Additionally, the ADH Remote is supplied with 2 sets of tape in case a replacement is needed.

Where will we see the fault codes show up on the USB remote?

The fault codes for the USB remote head will appear in the LED lightbar located at the top of the remote.

What happens if the USB/Bluetooth® disconnects? Will my electric brakes still work? What braking level will they be set at?

If for some reason the communication between the remote head and main unit is broken, the main unit will continue to use the last known braking level set by the operator. The main unit and remote head are paired in the factory for ease of use straight out of the box.

Why does my Tow-Pro Link USB Remote pulse blue?

This flash code indicates when the Tow- Pro USB remote has detected a fault mode from one of three possible causes:

  1. No trailer detected.
  2. Power is not connected.
  3. Tow-Pro USB Remote setting doesn't match the Main Unit.

What Bluetooth® does the Tow-Pro Link use?

The Tow-Pro Link uses the latest Bluetooth® 5.1 technology.
