The Manager30 Battery Sensor Assembly must be installed within 90cm of the auxiliary battery positive post, preferably in an interior location.
Installation involves drilling and securing the mount, attaching the red temperature sensor to the positive terminal, wiring the negative side to both the auxiliary battery and chassis ground, and connecting the CANBus cable to the Manager30.
Correct orientation is critical, as reversing the sensor will invert readings. Care should be taken not to overtighten terminals, strain comms cables, or run multiple negative cables to the “B NEG” post, as these can cause incorrect readings or sensor damage.

How to mount your sensor assembly
- Mark the holes to be drilled using the black plastic base mount as a template for the location of the holes. The holes are spaced with 14cm between the center of each hole.
- Drill holes for the M6 bolts or suitable screw dependant on surface type and ensure secure fitment.
- Attach the red temperature sensor to positive post of auxiliary battery (labelled REDARC BATT+).
- Connect an appropriately sized cable from auxiliary battery negative terminal to the bolt on “B NEG” side of the sensor.
- Connect a suitably sized cable from the Manager30 (Pin 3) to the bolt on “GND” side of sensor.
- Connect a suitably sized cable from the bolt on “GND” side of sensor to the vehicle chassis ground.
- Connect the CANBus cable to the Manager30’s CAN port.

Things to be aware of
- If the battery sensor assembly has been installed backwards, the readings on your display will be inverted (full charge can be shown going to load and not battery).
- Avoid overtightening the red “BATT+” component to the battery positive terminal as it can damage the sensor.
- Ensure there is no tension on the comms cables as this will damage the internals of the cabling.
- There should only be one cable from your auxiliary battery negative to the “B NEG” post. Additional cable will provide incorrect readings to the Manager30.
- We recommend installing the battery sensor assembly in an interior location.
