Installation Guide
Confirm the following for a safe and reliable installation of the REDLAB Icon Batteries:
- PROTECTION — Install in a location where the battery will not be exposed to excessive heat, moisture, solvents, corrosive/caustic substances, or direct sunlight. External exposed metallic parts like the Battery Terminals will be damaged by moisture.
- ORIENTATION — The Battery must be installed in a horizontal position, DO NOT mount in any other orientation.
- AIRFLOW — Ensure there is adequate airflow around the battery. Failure to adequately ventilate can cause overheating, leading to degraded performance.
- VISIBLE — Ensure the Display Panel and Power Button is visible and accessible.
- CLEARANCE — The battery heatsink can get hot during operation. Ensure there is clearance around all sides and the top of the battery. DO NOT mount batteries on top of each other or other equipment directly on the battery.
- FLAT — The mounting surface must be flat and safe to drill through, check reverse side before drilling.
- FIXED — Mount the battery to a fixed surface that has adequate strength to support it when all connections and wiring are in-place. DO NOT mount on any moveable parts.
