To change modes between Everyday (proportional) mode and User Controlled mode, the trailer must be connected and the vehicle at a complete stop.
With the control knob set to zero and the brake pedal fully depressed, double-click the knob within one second, then release the brakes. After switching, adjust the control knob to suit your vehicle, trailer, and driving conditions.
The Tow-Pro Elite will always power up in the last mode used, provided the black power wire remains properly connected to the battery.
