How to configure your Total Vehicle Management System (TVMS) Rogue

The TVMS Rogue (TVMS1240) can be configured to manage outputs, sensor inputs, and switch inputs, as well as setting output groups and creating control configurations.

Outputs (orange channels) can be labeled, given icons, and set as Disabled, User Control, or Always On, with optional dimming and master switch control.

Sensor Inputs (yellow channels) support monitoring of fluid tank levels, temperature, voltage or analog signals with alarms and custom calibration options available.

Switch Inputs (blue channels) allow mechanical or signal-based control and can be grouped or linked to outputs through control configurations such as toggle, dimmer, timer, or lock functions.

Output Groups, most commonly used for lighting, allows multiple outputs to be controlled together for greater convenience.

Note: If you are adding a TVMS Rogue to an already configured system, you will need to tap Read Device and connect to your system before completing the instructions below.

Configure outputs

Orange channels are Outputs

Leave all unused channels disabled

Under the TVMS Modules heading, tap Wiring Configuration.

Tap TVMS Rogue.

Under Module Name, if multiple TVMS Modules (Rogue or Prime) are installed, rename each TVMS module for easier identification.

Tap Outputs.

To configure Outputs C1-C5 and D1-D5.

Tap one of the Outputs that has installed accessories.

Add a Label.

Select an Icon for the output.

Next, set the output to User Control or Always On.

Setting Info:

Disabled should be selected if the Output has no accessory installed.

User Control enables on/off operation when using the Soft Keys on the RedVision Pro Display or RedVision User App.

Always On will lock the output for constant power to the accessory

Do not modify the Transient setting; this is only available if the output has been configured to be controlled by a 'Bell Press' Switch Input.

If the connected accessory is a dimmable LED, you can toggle on Enable Light Dimming Mode.

Set Master Switched from Display on or off.

Setting Info:

When Master Switched from Display is on this channel will be turned on/off by the Master Switch at the same time as all other channels that also have this setting enabled.

Access the Master Switch by double-tapping the power button on the RedVision Pro  Display or in RedVision User App in the App header.

Tap Save.

Repeat this process for the remaining Outputs that have installed accessories.

Remember to tap Save each time.

Tap Back.

Configure sensor inputs

Yellow channels are Sensor Inputs.

If you have a sensor(s) installed to the Rogue, follow the instructions below:

Leave all unused Channels disabled — Enabled.

Tap Sensor Inputs.

The Rogue has two configurable Analog Sensor Inputs (Generic Analog Input 1 and Generic Analog Input 2) and a Voltage Input.

There is additional monitoring of the input voltage to the Rogue which can be enabled if required.

Tap one of the Inputs that has installed sensors.

Set the Sensor Type.

Set the channel to Enabled.

If Fluid Tank Level is selected;

Ensure Sensor Input is Enabled.

Add a Label.

Set the Fluid Type.

Optional: Set Widget Overlay (eg: 1 for Tank 1 or G for Grey Water).

Under Tank Sensor Details heading, set Sensor Type.

REDARC has 3 different length float sensors. Third party float sensors can be configured by selecting Custom in the Sensor Type drop down.

If a custom tank sensor is used, you will need to program the water levels by entering either resistance or voltage values.

Add additional reference points by tapping Add.

Under Alarm Details heading, set Alarm Type, if necessary.

The alarm will appear as a warning on the RedVision Pro Display once the specified Fluid Tank Level percentage limit is reached.

Tap Save.

If Temperature is the selected Sensor Type;

Ensure Sensor Input is Enabled.

Add a Label.

Set an Icon.

Set a Sensor.

Under Alarm Details heading, set Alarm Type, if necessary.

The alarm will appear as a warning on the RedVision Pro Display once the specified Temperature limit is reached.

Tap Save.

If Voltage is the selected Sensor Type;

Ensure Sensor Input is Enabled.

Add a Label.

Set an Icon.

Under Alarm Details heading, set Alarm Type, if necessary.

The alarm will appear as a warning on the RedVision Pro Display once the specified Voltage limit is reached.

Tap Save.

Repeat this process for the remaining Sensor Inputs that have installed sensors.

Remember to tap Save each time.

When complete, tap Back

Configure switch inputs

TVMS Rogue has eight Switch Inputs available for either mechanical switches or signals. If you have installed physical switches to the TVMS Rogue, follow the instructions below.

Blue channels are switch inputs.

If a Switch Input doesn’t have any physical switches installed, leave the Switch Input disabled.

Tap Switch Inputs.

Tap one of the Switch Inputs that is connected to a physical switch.

Under Switch Details heading, add a Label.

Set an Icon.

Under Select Switch Type heading, set either a Mechanical Switch type or Signal type.

Signals can be used to turn output channels on or off when voltage is applied. For example, allowing motion sensor to activate lighting circuits or triggering reverse lights.

Tap Save.

Repeat this process for the remaining Switch Inputs that are connected to a physical switch.

Remember to tap Save each time.

When complete, tap Back until you are back at the main screen.

Create an output group

Output Groups allow the control of multiple Output Channels from one switch or input.

Under TVMS Modules heading, tap Output Groups.

Tap Add Group.

Under Output Group Details, add a Group Name.

Set an Icon.

Tap Modify Group Channels.

Select all the Channels (outputs) you wish to group together.

The most common channels (outputs) to group are lighting outputs.

Tap Save.

Tap Save, again.

Tap Back until you are back at the main screen.

Create a control configuration

Control Configuration lets you assign an output to a Switch Action.

Under TVMS Modules heading, tap Control Configuration.

Tap one of the Switch Inputs to assign an output or output group.

Tap Choose Output or Group.

Tap an Output Group or a single TVMS Rogue Output to assign to the Switch Input.

Under Control Logic, set your control type.
