Configuration Overview:
Setting up your RedVision® system may require multiple steps depending on the complexity of your system.
-
Download the RedVision® Configurator App and the RedVision® User App
RedVision® Configurator App - lets you configure and customise the features and functions of the RedVision devices in your system.
RedVision User App - lets you control and monitor that status of devices within your RedVision system. This will be used in the testing once configuration is complete.
-
Connect to the RedVision® System
In this step, you will use the Configurator App to connect to your RedVision® system to 'Read' and download a copy of the current system's settings/configuration, ready for editing. You can connect to the system via either the RedVision Pro Display or the Smart Battery Monitor.
-
Configure RedVision Devices
In this step, you will define the behaviours of each RedVision device in your system to make sure the system operates correctly and safely. Configure all of the following that are included in your system:
- Battery Charger - Manager30, Manager Alpha, or BCDC Alpha R (RBus Models).
- TVMS Modules - TVMS Prime or TVMS Rogue.
- Smart Battery Monitor - If you have a Manager in your system, complete this step in conjunction with configuration of your Manager. If your system doesn't have a Manager, (i.e. a standalone Battery Monitor or a BCDC Alpha R), you will need to configure the Smart Battery Monitor separately.
- Add an optional Installer PIN - An optional Installer PIN can be added to prevent unauthorised changes to the configuration of your RedVision system.
-
Configure Battery Protection
Some devices have optional Load Disconnect and Battery Protect features, designed to prevent excessive discharge of your auxiliary battery by actively managing which devices stay powered based on available battery capacity, or by turning off specific devices when the battery gets critically low.
-
Program the RedVision System
Once every device in your system has been configured, you need to re-program the system with your edited configuration. You can do this via either the RedVision® Display or the Smart Battery Monitor.
-
System Testing
System testing is an important last step to confirm the end-user experience of the configured system. Identifying and correcting errors is important before the system is operational and on the road.
