When installing BCDC Alpha ‘R’ models with the BCDC Alpha wiring kit, the black wire in the kit that connects the unit to the Auxiliary Battery/Chassis Ground needs to be modified due to connection to the Battery Monitor.

The stud sizes on the Battery Monitor are requiring M10 sized lugs – the M8-size lug is too small. This lug on the black wire therefore needs to be cut-off and an M10 crimped on its place, to do this follow the below instructions.
